Its features set benchmarks in its class: The new EMCO MaxxMill 350 is a winner for the sophisticated 5-axis machining of small workpieces with high thermostability and machining accuracy. A modern travel stand concept plus solid rotary table, compact design with a small footprint and large working space, high quality control technology, optimum swarf disposal, extensive options and above all an attractive price/performance ratio are all part of the package. EMCO develops and manufactures the MaxxMill 350 in close cooperation with its Italian subsidiary, EMCO Famup, a specialist in vertical machining centers, and thus ensures the high quality of the 5-axis machining center.
Tool and mold manufacture, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, medical technology, optical industry, contract manufacturer and training companies all find an economical solution in the MaxxMill 350. Workpieces of 250 x 250 x 225 mm with a weight of up to 50 kg can be machined with the MaxxMill 350 in one setting on 5 sides.
The traverse distance is 350 mm in the X, 250 mm in the Y, and 300 mm in the Z axis. The C-axis of the rotary table turns freely over 360° and the swivel range of the B-axis covers ± 100°. The mechanical spindle, with a maximum torque of 33 Nm and up to 12,000 rpm, provides up to 7 kW. A water-cooled motor spindle with 16 kW drive power and a maximum 24,000 rpm is available as an option.
The high precision is based, amongst other things, on the solid cast iron and steel components of the machine bed, slide systems and swivel rotary table. In the tool magazine, the user has the choice between 20, 30 or 50 tool stations. The tool holder complies with ISO30 DIN69871 with DIN69872 pull studs or HSK-A40. The tool diameter can be 50, 63 or 100 mm, the length 200 mm with a maximum weight of 5 kg.
For control technology, the user can choose between Heidenhain TNC620/640 and Siemens 840D Solution Line. The optimal chip disposal and high-performance coolant systems ensure continuous operation of the production machine.
The key features of the new MAXXMILL 350 are useful as benchmarks for comparison with other 5-axis machining centers. The modern travel stand concept, the generous equipment, user-oriented options and good value for money characterize the new MAXXMILL 350.
